Between problem sets and parties: what INSEAD is really about

Dear MIM'27,

You did it. We did it.

P1 exams are finally behind us. The coffee machine can rest, our cheat sheets lie crumpled in the corners of our room, and we can finally breathe a little. The relief is real, the celebrations were loud, and the first beer after Data Analysis tasted liked pure heaven.

In the middle of the stress and chaos of exams, something special happened. 

Between the sleepless nights, endless problem sets, enormous financial statements, and marketing cheat sheets, I began to understand what this place is really about. 

It is not the grades, not the rankings, not even the CVs we build. It is the people sitting next to us. Those who remind us to laugh when things get overwhelming, those who we dance with at yet another party, those who make this entire journey worth it.

Now, the break is near. Lisbon and Madrid are waiting with sunshine, a sea of sangria, and legendary stories that still have to be written. I, however, will welcome some friends here in Fonty before going home for a few days to catch up with family, friends, and of course, my cat.

Even though P2 and P3 are ahead, I can't help being incredibly excited for Singapore. Having done my exchange there, I can assure you that the time spent there will be unforgettable. The crazy nights out in Bangkok, the mornings waking up on a small island in the Philippines, the sun rising over waters so blue they hardly look real. Watching the amazing Singapore skyline from Ce La Vie or Nova rooftop.

INSEAD feels like home to me because of all the people involved in making every day something to look forward to. I will forever be grateful for everyone sparking my curiosity, ambition and smile.  

So take a moment. Breathe. Enjoy what we have accomplished together. The best part of this journey is still ahead, and I cannot wait to live it with all of you.
