4 Tips for Your Move to Singapore

Just like many of our students will be doing in the coming months, I moved to Singapore not so long ago myself. I had travelled around the world before, including a number of visits to Singapore. But as you know, coming to live in a place is different than visiting as a tourist for a week.  If you’re anything like me, you may have moments where your feelings on coming to Singapore may range from excited to apprehensive, so here are some suggestions for you to think about as you begin your adventure.

Frugality at INSEAD: An Oxymoron?

It’s funny how time passes. It feels as if I joined INSEAD in Singapore a lifetime ago, but I just looked at my calendar and it’s only been a little over a month. I’ve attended a bunch of parties, drank a few too many beers and gone on two international trips in the span of five weeks. INSEAD certainly does live up to its name of being an unforgettable year.

Memories From My First Period at INSEAD

I am now sitting on the plane from Munich back to Singapore after my extended long weekend between period one and two. Thanks to the invitation of Microsoft Munich to an assessment center, I could pay a short visit back to Germany after two months' stay in Singapore. The time has passed by amazingly fast since I started my MBA journey at INSEAD because the MBA programme at INSEAD is so intense and enjoyable. Actually, If I can only choose two words to symbolise my experience in the past eight weeks, I would say intense & fun.

My Top Asian Destinations

Surely one place you will get to know well while in Singapore is Changi International Airport. Honestly, I’ve never thought I would be excited about an airport. But Changi is different – it will be greeting you almost every Sunday evening with Jazz music, the smell of orchids and efficient immigration. So, enjoy all the trips that you will experience! During P1-3 in Singy, I visited more than 10 new countries, and wanted to share some of my favourite destinations (in no particular order): Sangat Diving Resort, Busuanga Island, Philippines
