Tell us a bit about yourself—how did you get to where you are today? Any highlights, personal or professional?
I am very passionate about business, and I'm always trying something new. I've had a big company in the past where my team and I built one of the first metaverse worlds, and we were the biggest server in Brazil. We had a lot of sponsorships from big brands.
What motivated you to choose the INSEAD Summer School, and how do you think it will align with your future goals, even at this early stage?
My family is friends with a professor at INSEAD, and when he told me about summer school, I became curious. I applied as I wanted to try it out – I’m glad I did as the lectures were great, everyone had the same mindset, and I think it aligned very well with my goals and interests.
How was your experience at ISS? What did a typical day look like?
My experience at INSEAD was amazing.
The accommodation at the Ermitage Hotel was great, and the food was very good.
A typical day for me started around 7 am, I would then take a shower, have a good breakfast and would then go to class to study and learn with my new friends from all around the world.
Any memorable moments you’ll carry with you?
Something that I'll carry with me forever are the friends that I made during the programme. I have met a lot of great people, and since we are all from different countries, I will try my best to maintain contact with them.
Could you share a little about your application process and getting to Fontainebleau?
The application process was very simple, the website is very straightforward, and you can do it in a very short time in comparison to other colleges that request a lot more information for you to apply.
Before taking the plane to Fontainebleau, I did a lot of research to understand what the city would be like. The pictures don't lie! The city is beautiful and very cosy, the campus is wonderful as well, and it is such a nice environment to be in for two weeks.
Any advice or words of wisdom for someone thinking about joining ISS?
Even though I am a business student going into my third year, I still learnt about concepts that I had never seen before in college. It’s a guarantee that you will gain a lot of learning and experience at the INSEAD Summer School.
If anyone needs help with anything to do about the programme or if they have questions about campus life, I’d be happy to help!
