Are you considering an MBA but can’t decide on which school? In addition to doing your own research and speaking to recruitment staff, attending a school event is a great way to learn more about the programme, the calibre of the students and alumni, and the culture of the school.
INSEAD hosts over 500 events per year – online, on our campuses and in cities all over the world – that offer you a wealth of information. Many of our applicants attend multiple events throughout their exploration and application journey.
INSEAD hosts over 500 events per year
Here’s a quick guide to help you navigate the different types of events:
In-house Events
If you have the chance to visit one of our campuses, look out for in-house events. They provide excellent opportunities to get a feel for the atmosphere on campus, and interact with admissions staff, fellow applicants, current students and alumni.
An in-house event typically begins with a tour of the campus followed by a Masterclass with an INSEAD professor, allowing you to experience the INSEAD classroom environment first-hand.
Next, our MBA team will hold a presentation on admissions criteria and host a panel discussion with current students. After the session, you will get to network with MBA students and alumni.
Masterclasses
INSEAD professors travel around the world to speak at conferences and deliver executive education programmes. While they are on the road, INSEAD will often also arrange for them to deliver a Masterclass for prospective applicants, thus allowing you to experience an MBA class in your own city without the need to travel to an INSEAD campus.
Information Sessions
These events include a presentation introducing the MBA programme, admissions criteria, as well as an alumni panel discussion and networking session.
Attending an Information Session is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about the INSEAD MBA experience, as well as to ask any questions about the programme, admissions, scholarships, or anything else you would like to clarify. Information Sessions are held worldwide so you can always sign up for one in a city nearest to you!
Application Workshops
If you are further along in your journey towards an INSEAD MBA, an Application Workshop will provide you guidance on the actual application process, as well as admissions requirements.
During the workshop you will be able to ask any questions and discuss in detail best practices for essay preparation, GMAT / GRE, the INSEAD language policy, and all other aspects of the INSEAD admissions process.
MBA Alumni Roundtables
Alumni Roundtables give you the opportunity to meet and mingle with the INSEAD alumni community in your city, within a small and more intimate setting.
You will get the chance to ask questions about our alumni’s INSEAD experience and engage in detailed and honest discussions before making a decision.
Friday Information Sessions / Tuesday Roundtables
Held on all INSEAD campuses either on Tuesday mornings or on Friday afternoons, these events are informal chats where an INSEAD representative will answer any questions you may have regarding the programme or admissions policies.
Friday sessions usually also include a programme presentation and a campus tour.
One-to-One Personal Consultations
These sessions enable you to schedule a one-to-one meeting in person with a representative from the INSEAD MBA recruitment team to discuss your professional experience, career trajectory, and suitability for the INSEAD MBA. You are required to bring along a copy of your CV.
Online Sessions
Scheduled to cater to different time zones, online sessions are a convenient way to connect with the school from the comfort of your home or office. They cover a wide variety of useful topics, including general information, student panel discussions, admissions presentations, detailed introduction to the INSEAD Career Development Centre and alumni sharing sessions.
During an online event, you will have the chance to post questions and have them answered in real-time by our panellists.
