Didn’t ‘Waste’ My Summer!
This summer, I had the opportunity to intern with a group of talented individuals as they built Wastetide, an AI tool for waste detection and efficient recycling solutions. My role focused on preparing the company for its pre-seed fundraise, starting at the end of the summer, and with my background in transaction advisory and M&A, it was a perfect fit.

This was my first time working with an early-stage start-up, and the experience was incredibly exciting! During my internship, I researched the waste industry in the EU and the US (specifically waste detection), learned nuances about the market, and brainstormed pricing strategies with the founder. I also worked on building the financial model and preparing the VDR for investors.
"One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of constant improvement—the team worked steadily to enhance the algorithm, and each iteration significantly boosted the AI's performance.
This taught me to pay attention to detail and strive to be a better version of myself daily. My experience at Wastetide was enriching, allowing me to immerse myself in a new environment, develop new skills, and contribute to the growth of cutting-edge technology.
This internship experience was supported by the INSEAD Hoffmann Institute Impact Internship Stipend and gifts from alumni.
