Could you share something unexpected or a fun fact about you?
Alongside my international career in private banking, I also serve as a municipal council member in Feusisberg Schindellegi in Switzerland, one of the country’s most tax-attractive regions. The municipality consistently ranks among the top ten locations in Switzerland for competitiveness out of around 2,000 municipalities nationwide, combining low taxes, a strong economy, and exceptional quality of life. I have also spent extended periods in China studying Mandarin, which has become a real passion.
Tell us about yourself, and how you got to where you are today both on a professional and personal level.
I serve as a Managing Director at LGT Private Banking, with an international focus particularly across Greater China. Prior to this, I held senior roles at leading global institutions such as Credit Suisse and UBS, advising high-net-worth families and entrepreneurs on wealth management and investment strategies.
In addition, I am actively involved with the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce, further strengthening my engagement with the China-Switzerland business community. I also remain engaged in public service through my role in the municipal council of Feusisberg Schindellegi.
What led you to decide to pursue an Executive MBA, and why did you choose INSEAD in particular?
I wanted to further strengthen my strategic and leadership capabilities beyond finance and gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese market. Studying in the EMBA programme at Tsinghua University in Beijing was the key driver in my decision, as Tsinghua is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions in China.
INSEAD’s unique partnership gave me access to this exceptional academic environment while also benefiting from INSEAD’s world-class management education.
The TIEMBA’s consistent top global ranking and strong international network made the programme especially compelling.
How would you describe your experience so far?
The experience has been extremely enriching. The faculty combine strong academic rigour with real-world relevance, and the curriculum is highly practical across leadership, strategy, and organisational topics. The opportunity to study in the EMBA programme at Tsinghua University in Beijing adds a unique depth and perspective, while the diversity and seniority of the participants create a truly collaborative and global learning environment.
Can you share a little about your application process and what you found most helpful and challenging?
The application process was a valuable opportunity to reflect on my career journey and development goals. Being authentic in telling my story and engaging with alumni were particularly helpful. The main challenge was balancing preparation with a demanding professional schedule and ensuring all required documents were in place.
What advice would you give to someone interested in an INSEAD programme?
Be clear about your goals and be genuine in your application. Engage with alumni and admissions events to fully understand the culture and expectations. Most importantly, commit fully to the experience to maximise the learning and network within a top-ranked global programme like TIEMBA.
