What made you choose an EMBA, and why did you choose INSEAD specifically?

Since the arrival of COVID, the world has changed at an ever-increasing pace. Over the next five years, I would like to develop my leadership skills, improve my organisational and financial knowledge and meet people from other businesses.

Up until now, I have only focused on the wine business, and I want to learn more about other businesses. New opportunities and challenges are coming up in the near future, and I would like to be prepared and be able to contribute.

At INSEAD, you have global experience, trained teachers and impressive students.

Talking to the current GEMBA students and reading about the programme, I felt that the GEMBA could help me reach my goals. The Leadership Development Programme (LDP) will allow me to increase my leadership aptitude. The global exposure will enhance my perspective on how the world is changing from a political, cultural and economic point of view.

Finally, the academic path will improve my managerial skills in finance, economics, marketing, managerial accounting, process-operations management and strategy.

In 2008 I left for France in search of the best training to become an oenologist, and today it’s the same desire that drives me to attend the best exercise to become a great manager for the future world. To date, I have not thought of alternatives to INSEAD.

Could you describe your experience so far? The classes, the curriculum, fellow students, professors?

The classes are led by superbly trained professors, and the other students have all incredible stories to share. The programme has a holistic approach, so you feel like each course is connected to another.

Has the EMBA helped you in your career?

I am actively bringing what I am learning in the EMBA to the company. I hope this is helping the company and, therefore my career.

Could you tell us more about the experience of the Leadership Development Programme?

This programme is entirely new to me. I am learning how to manage my teamwork better. I am also reconnecting my analytical and logical side with my emotional side. The experience is very intense but I feel grateful for having this opportunity and sharing this journey with my team.

What advice would you give to those who might be interested in pursuing an INSEAD master's degree?

Plan the year at INSEAD because it is a beautiful but intense experience.
