Can you tell us a little more about yourself?

I am currently working in the corporate treasury department of a semiconductor company. I have nine years of experience dealing with FX, investment, cash and risk management, and four years in investment banking.

So, what made you decide to take on the EMFin programme at INSEAD?

My work requires me to have solid knowledge in finance, working independently and collaboratively to accomplish complex tasks. Obviously, this programme is a great fit for my needs.

How do you feel about the programme so far; has it met your expectations?

Absolutely, as we learn a lot of different career experiences from many outstanding professionals coming from various backgrounds. It has enabled me to build a strong social and career network that is extremely valuable in life.

Can you tell us a little more about quality of the professors, the curriculum?

Both the quality of professors and curriculum have beat my expectations so far.

The modules provide interactive activities that help students get to know one another and become immersed in the material. The development of self-confidence is evident when we are encouraged to challenge new ideas, to debate, and exercise critical analysis on lecture points. These elements are very useful and I can apply them to my current job easily.

Any advice for someone thinking of joining the EMFin programme?

The EMFin is a great choice, especially if you want to pursue a programme with a strong and in-depth focus in finance.

Any parting words of wisdom?

It's good to see the programme running well even in the COVID situation. We have still managed to have people from other countries come to Singapore to join the classes physically. I am looking forward to meet more of my classmates in France.
