I am now 10 months into the GEMBA journey, with only two more modules left to finish it off; and I can’t help but feel that it has gone so fast. Don’t get me wrong, these 10 months have really been a transformational experience; this programme makes you challenge yourself in every possible aspect, which not only made me grow as a better professional, but also as a better person.
"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." - Mark Twain At the Executive MBA level, the end of the Core Modules is like the midpoint in a full marathon. Although we are closer to the finishing line, we are still living with some uncertainties ahead of us.
Hello MIM22, One week (nearly) done – and what a week. It is a true honor to meet you and get to know you, and I can tell you for sure that many are envious of the situation in which you are.
I lived in the US my whole life before landing in Paris three weeks ago to start my MBA programme at INSEAD’s campus in Fontainebleau, France. Some of my friends and coworkers back home in Los Angeles, California had a hard time understanding why I wasn’t interested in going to Stanford, UCLA, or any number of top business schools in sunny California or a short flight away.
Just one more week to launch week! Looking back, it’s been a surreal journey. The first time I browsed through INSEAD’s website was in early 2019. After countless calls with alumni, essay preparations, and mock interviews, I finally got my notice of admission for the MBA Class of 22J. Now it is finally time to embark on this amazing journey, one that I certainly can’t be more excited for. Before that, I thought it would be useful to share some preparation tips that I have collected from seniors and alumni alike.

Networking has always been an indispensable part of building a successful career. Despite some of the challenges that COVID-19 has thrust upon the world as we know it, it still remains just as important as ever. Networking hasn’t gone away – it’s simply changed a little. It’s vital for professionals to develop career agility and adapt to new challenges, while keeping a focus on expanding your networks in a safe but effective manner.
The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how necessary career agility is in today’s workplace. Many workers all over the world had to adapt to working from home, and with that shift, came changing relationships to their professional networks and industry goals. Other professionals needed to alter their companies’ focus, commitment, and client base, which in turn, altered their strategic plans.
The INSEAD MBA has bolstered my upward career trajectory.
From personal to professional, the benefits you stand to gain from embarking on an Executive MBA are huge and life-changing, and whilst everyone experiences the programme in a very individual way, here are the top reasons highlighted by our participants and alumni.
