Tell me a fun fact about yourself!

I danced ballet for 10 years.

What were you doing before you joined INSEAD?

After my BSc in Psychology, I took a gap year to gain some work experience in business settings. This included working for a healthcare tech startup and as an associate at AlphaSights, which is a company connecting investment funds, consultancies and corporations with industry experts.

And can you tell me why you decided to apply for the MIM? What are your goals post-MIM?

Besides politics, I believe that businesses are the one thing that can drive great change in the world - which is why I wanted to work in a business setting, preferably in startups or VCs. As my background was only in Psychology, I knew I needed to gain a better understanding of how businesses are run. This led me to look into MIMs.

I applied to INSEAD specifically because of the diverse and international environment, which reflected the type of setting I want to work in in the future.

Its been a whirlwind first few weeks, how has everything been going? Memorable moments so far? First impressions?

It's been a whirlwind for sure, but I have had a very positive experience especially thanks to the support you get from your coursemates, the faculty, and staff. This was one of my first impressions - everyone is so approachable and open. Also, coming from a non-business background, I have learnt so much already in the first month! My favourite memories so far include the picnics and walks by the chateau.

What are you most looking forward to during the rest of the programme?

I am excited about the move to Singapore, as I spent the last four to five years in Europe. I am looking forward to making new memories with the great people I have met during the course!

Any tips for anyone who might be interested in pursuing a MIM in the future?

Definitely talk to INSEAD alumni and staff about what to expect. Personally, this helped clear up any doubts I had about my fit here.

Parting words of wisdom?

INSEAD is a great opportunity to get to know people from different cultures and walks of life, so I would suggest being open to connecting with new people and truly listen to what they have to say. You can learn so much from other people's experiences and perspectives.
