With over 20 years of financial services expertise combined of banking, auditing, asset management and fund administration, I am now serving as Independent Director of regulated Investment Funds, overseeing strategies, risks, governance as well as compliance requirements across a broad range of products such as private equity, private credit, hybrid funds and hedge funds.

Senior leaders should set up a vision and create an engaging cultural at various levels.

What role do senior leaders play in fostering an inclusive environment that empowers women?

From my own perspective, appointing a diverse inclusive board members to ensure a mix of voices in decision-making is essential.

How have you used your influence to support other women in achieving more in their careers?

I actively advocate for gender balance in decision-making, particularly in board director appointments, ensuring women are equitably considered for leadership roles. Additionally, I contribute to diversity-focused working groups within the investment community, collaborating to amplify women’s voices, foster growth opportunities, and drive systemic change.

What tangible steps can organisations take to create a culture of equality at the leadership level?

In my view, diversity should be embedded into the organisation's infrastructure, with outcomes reviewed periodically and included as a standing agenda item at board meetings. Clear, measurable diversification metrics should be developed to ensure assessments are both qualitative and quantitative, driving accountability and progress.

What advice would you give to those looking to champion women’s leadership in their organisations?

Lead with authenticity by staying true to your values and demonstrating genuine support for inclusivity.

Build resilience by persevering through challenges and embrace vulnerability by being open to learning, acknowledging biases, and fostering a culture where diverse perspectives are heard and valued.
