Catalysing Change: My Journey of Social Impact through the INSEAD Hoffmann Institute Internship

Greetings to all who share a fervent passion for catalysing change and moulding a better world. As I stand at the juncture of my internship voyage with PANL Business Consulting and Services, I am thrilled to unveil the profound imprint of the INSEAD Hoffmann Institute Impact Internship Stipend – a journey that transcends financial backing and dives deep into the heart of social impact. 

Illuminating the path ahead

Allow yourself to envision the remote corners of Vietnam, where families clutch aspirations of gifting their offspring a luminous future through education. These dreams, however, frequently find themselves shrouded in the shadow of financial constraints. We worked on a project finding scholarships to help make dreams come true for those students.

This stipend has not merely lifted the weight of financial worry; it has illuminated a trajectory toward tangible, meaningful transformation.

Empowering education, bridging divides

Education stands as a magnetic equaliser, armed with the potential to span chasms and ignite metamorphosis. My journey became intrinsically tethered to a mission that sought to rectify the disparities in education faced by young boys and girls.

In a country where the accessibility to education can be skewed by gender norms, I embarked on the path to forge a realm of education that is not only fairer but also more equitable.

This endeavour resonated deeply, reaffirming my belief in the transformative potential of education to drive change from the very grassroots. As an added dimension, we endeavoured to devise ways of extending financial support to families based on their income, creating a journey that is inherently more egalitarian.

Energising sustainability: Pioneering a greener future

Simultaneously, I embarked on a voyage into the intricate domain of sustainable energy transition.

Within the context of Vietnam, where coal has long been the cornerstone of development, the challenge loomed large. Vietnam ranks as the third-largest country in the world to sign the Just Energy Transition Partnership 2022 (JETP), following in the footsteps of South Africa and Indonesia.

JETP carries the noble aspiration of nurturing Vietnam's growth while curbing its reliance on fossil fuels. Crafting a roadmap for this transition was a challenge I embraced with open arms, knowing that the pursuit of environmentally conscious solutions carries both the weight of responsibility and the thrill of opportunity.

This immersive experience entrenched my commitment to a career trajectory that pulsates with my core values and paves the way for transformative change.

A personal odyssey of growth

Beyond the realms of professional endeavours, my tenure with PANL Business Consulting and Services metamorphosed into an odyssey of personal growth. The hurdles I encountered were not mere obstacles; they were catalysts, igniting my abilities to solve problems creatively and expanding my horizons in ways I had never foreseen.
