Dancing Diversity at INSEAD
I am now in the heart of the programme. It’s already been four months since I started the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) at INSEAD. Two modules have passed, we have already studied six different Core Courses and taken as many exams. Twenty years after I finished my studies, here I am again —a 45-year-old student!
The first word that comes to mind when I think of these past few months and that perfectly sums up my impressions is “Diversity”.
Nothing Can Stop Us
The GEMBA has been an unforgettable experience so far.
Recent times have made everything more challenging and at the same time more meaningful because all those previously trivial and taken-for-granted moments now become rare and valuable opportunities to create memorable stories and friendships.
It has been four months since the official start of the programme, and I have somewhat gotten used to this high level of uncertainty and agility!
INSEAD EMBA Assessment Options
The INSEAD Executive MBA is an intensive programme with a rigorous curriculum.
As part of the admissions process, you must take either the INSEAD Assessment, the GMAC Executive Assessment (EA) or the GMAT.
All of these tests evaluate your academic aptitude, including quantitative and verbal skills. The application process will vary slightly depending on which test you choose:

INSEAD Singapore Scholarship Awards Now Open!
In 2000, INSEAD inaugurated its Asia campus in Singapore. With this bold step, INSEAD became the first business school to have two full-fledged campuses with permanent faculty - one in Europe, the other in Asia.
Since then, the school’s vision evolved from "creating a bridge between Asia and the rest of the world” to bringing together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society globally. We have also added the Middle East campus in Abu Dhabi, as well as the San Francisco Hub.
Why Pursuing an EMBA Now Can Prepare You for the New World of Work
The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how necessary career agility is in today’s workplace. Many workers all over the world had to adapt to working from home, and with that shift, came changing relationships to their professional networks and industry goals. Other professionals needed to alter their companies’ focus, commitment, and client base, which in turn, altered their strategic plans.
Changing the Narrative
What is possible when you start to reimagine yourself and unleash your human potential?
At the recent Professional Women's Network (PWN) Global Summit I gave a presentation on the topic "Navigating Careers in Turbulent Times", and I'd like to share some of my thoughts on this blog as well.
The Courage of Starting an EMBA During COVID-19
I started my Executive MBA (EMBA) in a pre-COVID-19 world.
During the months leading to our first day on campus, we created a WhatsApp group and we exchanged many messages before we met in person. But the communication was a pre-COVID-19 communication. We mingled and we joked, but it was a virtual 'icebreaker' in view of our first day on campus. You might ask yourself how this can be, in any way, different from the post-COVID-19 communication.
Well, it is radically different.
Persevering to the GEMBA – COVID Edition
In spring of 2016, I created a folder in my personal files called “Project INSEAD” – which holds all what I need to know and do to apply for an MBA at INSEAD. With the momentum starting on building my application, it had to be halted mid-way for personal reasons, yet the idea of attaining my MBA never went away, in fact, it remained strong and engraved in my mind – as a component in a plan to achieve my career and personal aspirations.
