Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself?

I was a Thai Boxing Tournament candidate, and trekked to Kilimanjaro and Everest Based Camp.

So, what made you decide to pursue the TIEMBA, and why did you choose INSEAD?

I wanted to extend my career towards a more ESG and Impact Investment direction, and the curriculum and network from INSEAD could help me achieve those goals.

I had also just relocated back to Shenzhen with a new assignment, so the TIEMBA programme provided me with a lot of insights into Chinese business and networks. It was an easy decision to make.

Has the TIEMBA helped you in your career so far?

The TIEMBA has helped me in three different ways so far. As I enter into a new industry, the programme has provided a network of professionals that I can turn to for advice.

The experience has enlightened me to learn about the Chinese culture, and in particular taught me more about doing business in China.

Last but not least, my fellow TIEMBA participants have become good and supportive friends in China and across the world. We traveled together once the pandemic started to come under control, and we had virtual support sessions when our cities were locked down, which proved very meaningful to me having just relocated a new country.

What are your thoughts about the multi-campus experience?

Learning from a different location can really create different sparks.

I am lucky enough to have been to both the INSEAD Singapore and Tsinghua campus in China. The TIEMBA programme has provided us so far with an immersive experience including alumni company visits, some cultural exploration, and definitely some great social downtime as well!

Could you tell us more about the curriculum so far and your learning experience?

As a TIEMBA'23 participant, we have taken four modules so far. My biggest impression is that the professors are incredibly humble and up-to-date.

What advice would you give to someone who might be interested in pursuing an INSEAD Masters programme?

There is never an inappropriate time to start an EMBA programme.

The closest time will be now as you are reading this post and trying to understand more about this journey.
