Can you tell us fun fact about yourself?

My dream till high school was to become a warzone journalist. Never had I dreamed of ending up in procurement, but I love it!

So, what made you decide to pursue an EMBA, and why did you choose INSEAD?

I've always wanted to do an MBA, but I didn't want to take a year off from work or to change industry or function, so doing an EMBA was the best solution. INSEAD also gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people with different backgrounds, what's more valuable than that? 

If you were to describe your experience in one sentence, what would it be?

I stopped doubting my return on investment (ROI) since I sat in my first class of Financial Accounting with INSEAD.

Professor Young managed to make me fall in love with financial accounting.  

Has the EMBA helped you in your career so far? 

Yes, it has shaped my perspectives on how I look at my career planning and life in general. I have learned just as much from the professors as from my fellow batchmates. 

What are your thoughts about the multi-campus experience?

I have not been on the other campuses yet but I am really looking forward to it. The multi-campus experience hopefully will allow me to explore the business and cultural differences between regions in great depth through interacting with the professors and students, and business owners. 

Could you tell us more about the Leadership Development Programme (LDP) experience?

The experience has helped me find out more about myself and my career ambitions.

As an Asian female working in Europe, my classmates helped to offer suggestions on many of the real-life issues I am facing at work and brainstormed ways to resolve them. In my LDP group we supported each other in our career-related decision makings and on this GEMBA journey together. 

What advice would you give to someone who might be interested in pursuing an INSEAD Masters programme? ​

Keep an open mind and you'll be amazed by your possibilities.
