Tell us a bit about yourself—how did you get to where you are today? Any highlights, personal or professional?

Following my graduation from high school in 2018, I embarked on a dual academic path, pursuing both a Diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) simultaneously. I maintained a rigorous schedule for two consecutive years, dedicating 14 hours a day from 8 am to 10 pm across two different institutions. Although this was a challenging endeavour, my passion for self-development and my drive to achieve my academic goals sustained me through this demanding period.

In December 2020, I successfully completed my Diploma in HRM while I was still midway through my Bachelor's degree journey, with two years remaining until its completion.

At that time, my professional experience was limited to a three-month co-op traineeship. Determined to gain more practical experience while continuing my studies, I secured a six-month training position at a prominent company within the banking industry.

Upon completing my training, the company was highly impressed with my skills and capabilities, leading to a part-time contract offer, which I accepted while pursuing my degree.

In August 2023, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, and the company subsequently extended me a full-time contract as a Talent Acquisition Officer.

I was deeply interested in participating in the INSEAD Summer School, as I believed it would significantly contribute to both my current career objectives and future aspirations.

Any fun or quirky facts about you?

I was given the nickname "Supreme Leader" on campus due to eight words I said on the first day while we were playing football. From that day onward, everyone started calling me by that name, to the point where many forgot my real name.

What motivated you to choose the INSEAD Summer School, and how do you think it will align with your future goals, even at this early stage?

Personally, I have long recognised INSEAD as one of the best business schools in the world and envisioned myself attending one of their programmes as I progress towards a C-level position.

In my current role, part of my responsibility involves identifying training opportunities for our executive team. When I came across the INSEAD Summer School programme, I applied immediately, even before fully reviewing the details.

I was confident that participating would have a significant positive impact on my professional development. Given my career in Human Capital, I knew that the ISS would be an ideal fit. Moreover, simply being accepted by INSEAD enhances one's profile, providing a competitive advantage in the job market, especially during a time when the Kingdom is experiencing a "war for talent."

How was your experience at ISS? What did a typical day look like?

The INSEAD Summer School experience was exceptional and stands out as one of the most rewarding of my life. It was rich with new knowledge, skills, and abilities.

I was particularly impressed by the level of engagement and interaction we achieved within a single day. Our schedule was meticulously organised, from breakfast through to dinner, and hanging out in the downtown afterwards.

Any memorable moments you’ll carry with you?

I would say that we cherished every moment we had together. To this day, we remain in touch, chatting in our group daily, sharing memories, and reminiscing about our time on campus.

What were your impressions of campus life, your classmates, and the professors? How did you find living in Fontainebleau for two weeks?

Everything was excellent, from the hotel reception to the rooms, the classes, and all of the campus facilities.

Could you share a little about your application process and getting to Fontainebleau?

The application process was straightforward and clear, though it required providing a substantial amount of detailed information. Despite that, everything was well-organised, which made it manageable.

Any advice or words of wisdom for someone thinking about joining ISS?

Don't hesitate! Apply now, it’s worth it.
