What made you decide to take on the MBA programme at INSEAD amongst all MBA programmes available?

INSEAD has a great international reputation.  Given I already had two degrees from US institutions and have worked in Asia, I thought I want to attend a school that is truly diverse with a presence in Europe.

What is one thing you loved about INSEAD?

My classmates and the camaraderie

Was there one particular professor who left the greatest impression or made an impact on you? Why?

Ingemar Dierickx - the tools I learned in his Negotiations class have been invaluable.

How has the MBA changed your perspectives/outlook towards life?

Recognising and understanding different perspectives that could stem from cultural differences and learning to work in a diverse environment.

What is one life-long skill or lesson that you have gotten from the MBA programme?

Treat people with respect even if you might have a difference in opinion, and learning to work together to achieve a common goal even if might not see eye to eye in everything!

There are many women out there who are not sure whether an MBA is worth the time and money. What would you say to them?

I would say it is definitely worth it. In the competitive work environment we are facing, an MBA, especially at INSEAD, is invaluable to learning how to operate effectively in a male-dominated world.

What was the greatest challenge you have faced so far in your career, and how did you overcome it?

Being a woman in a male-dominated industry - you don't have to be one of the boys to succeed but you do have to learn to stand your ground and communicate effectively.

What advice would you give to future prospects who are considering the INSEAD MBA?

I think the year I spent at INSEAD was one of the greatest times in my life. I was challenged intellectually and made friends for life. The INSEAD alumni community is also remarkable for its generosity and support to help fellow alumni succeed. I have invested in startups of a couple of INSEAD classmates.
