INSEAD MIM Football Triumph: Youthful Energy Overpowers MBA Experience

INSEAD MIM vs MBA: a decisive 10–0 victory

In a thrilling match that perfectly captured the dynamic spirit of INSEAD’s Master in Management (MIM) programme, the MIM football team secured a dominant 3-0 win over the MBA'25D team this Tuesday. This victory builds on our earlier 7-0 triumph over MBA'25J, bringing the aggregate score to an emphatic 10-0—a result that even the most data-driven MBAs would struggle to dispute!

MIM’s speed and stamina prove unstoppable

The match kicked off with early resistance from the MBA team, who held strong for the first 15 minutes with disciplined defence (and some tackles that might have belonged in a rugby game). However, as time wore on, the youthful agility and endurance of the INSEAD MIM team began to shine. Just before halftime, we broke through their defence to score our first goal, swinging momentum in our favour.

The second half saw MIM’s superior fitness and speed take control. The early 1-0 lead quickly expanded to 3-0, and it could have been 5-0 if not for some missed opportunities.

Standout performances from MIM players

A huge shout-out to Paul and Nathan D. for holding the defence strong while Fede, Arthus, and Kamil controlled the midfield like they were born with cleats on. Our forward duo of Erwin and Aman continued to showcase their goal-scoring prowess. Meanwhile, Clemens, Zaki, Arno, Lucas, Nathan C., Seb, and Arrayyan kept the MBA defence constantly on edge with their speed and movement.

Special recognition goes to Nathan T. for his successful debut as our coach—his strategy played a key role in this impressive win. As for our goalkeepers, Gianluca and Olivier, they barely had to lift a finger as the MBAs struggled to mount any serious attacks.

A win made sweeter by the incredible support

A massive thank you to all our friends and classmates who came out to cheer for the INSEAD MIM team! Your energy and enthusiasm from the sidelines kept us motivated throughout the match.

And rumour has it the MBAs have already requested a rematch—I guess a 10-0 scoreline wasn’t quite enough for them! Stay tuned for the next showdown.
