Can you tell us a little about yourself, where you come from and your professional career path so far?

My name is Edwin and I come from Indonesia. Currently I'm working as a consultant for Accenture Strategy in Dubai, Middle East Office.

What was your experience on the MIM programme like for you?

The INSEAD MIM experience was one of the best moments in my life. I got to learn general business study from some of the best professors, built friendships with students from various parts of the world, and formed professional connections which I could never imagine possible.

You graduated from the programme in 2021. What have you been up to since then?

Professionally I have switched careers twice since my graduation. I was working as a venture architect intern for a Singapore-based venture building firm (the founders of the firm are also INSEAD MBA alumni) and I am now working as a business strategy consultant for Accenture. In my free time, I am learning Mandarin as my third language and taking salsa classes to learn a bit of dancing.

Did INSEAD Career Development support you in your post-graduation job search efforts?

The INSEAD Career Development Centre (CDC) provided guidance on how to best craft my job application documents and prepare for my job interviews.

They also helped in connecting me with my current employer by organising workshops and company presentations.

How have you applied the learning and skills you gained during the MIM to your current role?

Working as a consultant requires me to be adaptable, grasp a wide array of topics in a short amount of time, and collaborate with various kind of stakeholders. The INSEAD MIM programme has these elements and has helped me to perform in my career since day one.

Would you have any advice to incoming students of the MIM programme as to how INSEAD might help in their search for employment?

The INSEAD network has been tremendously helpful in helping any career aspirant to find their next professional calling.

Chances are there will always be at least one INSEAD alum to get connected and to learn from.
