Could you tell us a little about yourself, personally and professionally, and how you’ve gotten to where you are today?

I am currently pursuing a Master in Management at INSEAD, following my Bachelor’s in International Business from Maastricht University, where I built a strong foundation in global business and finance. My professional journey includes internships in Asset Management at Edmond de Rothschild and in M&A at Livingstone Partners. Having lived in five different countries, I’m eager to continue exploring diverse cultures and perspectives. These experiences have deepened my passion for the global financial services sector and motivated me to further enhance my skills at INSEAD.

Any fun or quirky facts about yourself you’d like to share?

A quirky fact about me is that I’ve been a competitive golfer since childhood, taking part in tournaments across the USA and Europe. It’s been a great way to develop focus and resilience.

Could you tell us what led you to pursue the INSEAD Master in Management programme?

I chose the INSEAD MIM because of its global focus and rigorous curriculum, which align perfectly with my career aspirations.

The programme’s reputation for producing leaders and its extensive network were key factors that drew me in. The 10-month accelerated structure, spanning three different countries, offers a unique opportunity to gain international exposure and hands-on experience.

And why did you choose INSEAD? Were there any other business schools you considered?

I considered other top business schools, but INSEAD stood out due to its international focus and unique campus locations in Europe and Asia. The diversity of the student body and the opportunity to study in both Fontainebleau and Singapore were unmatched.

How has your experience on the programme been so far? Can you describe your interactions with the professors, your fellow classmates, and how life has been on the Fontainebleau campus?

The experience so far has been exceptional. The professors are not only experts in their fields but are also approachable and open to discussions outside of the classroom. My classmates come from diverse backgrounds, and the collaborative environment has been both challenging and rewarding. Life on the Fontainebleau campus is dynamic, and I’ve really enjoyed the balance between academic rigour and social interactions.

What does a typical day look like for you currently?

A typical day involves attending classes, working on group projects, and preparing for recruitment. Outside of class, I spend time networking with classmates, attending guest lectures, and staying active through golf or other sports.

Before you know it, you’ll be making your way to Singapore. Is this something you’re looking forward to?

Absolutely! The Singapore campus offers a different cultural and business perspective that I’m eager to explore. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to engage with Asia-Pacific markets and gain first-hand exposure to the financial landscape in that region.

Aside from your academic pursuits, what extracurricular interests or activities are you exploring at INSEAD, and how do they enhance your overall MIM experience?

I’m exploring the wealth of opportunities available through the more than 40 student clubs here. I’m planning to join the private equity club, along with the football and golf clubs. My involvement in the finance club and other student organisations is helping me expand my network and stay updated on industry trends. Engaging in sports also provides a great balance to my academic workload and allows me to connect with classmates on a more personal level.

Any parting words of wisdom, admissions, or application tips you’re keen on sharing?

My advice for future applicants would be to stay authentic throughout the process. Focus on showcasing your unique experiences and how they align with INSEAD’s values. Additionally, emphasise your global perspective and openness to diverse environments, as these are key elements of the INSEAD experience. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
