I have a BA in Economics and International Relations, which has influenced the way I approach problem-solving and global challenges. My career so far has been a mix of structured and fast-paced environments.

I strongly believe in the power of inclusive leadership to drive change.

I started at a law firm, where I learned to navigate complex negotiations and regulatory frameworks. While I appreciated the structured approach, I wanted to work in a space with more agility and impact, so I transitioned to a start-up. There, I worked closely with different teams, helping the company scale while tackling challenges that required creativity and adaptability.

Personally, I love languages and connecting with people from different backgrounds. Having lived in multiple countries, I thrive in diverse environments and strongly believe in the power of inclusive leadership to drive change.

How do you see yourself contributing to breaking down gender barriers in your industry?

I believe real change happens when people take action in their everyday interactions. In my career, I want to be someone who actively supports and amplifies voices that might otherwise go unheard.

Whether that means making sure credit is given where it’s due, advocating for fair opportunities, or mentoring young professionals, I want to contribute in meaningful ways.

Having grown up in Latin America, where gender barriers are still deeply rooted, I’ve seen first-hand how societal norms can limit opportunities. Moving across different countries has given me a broader perspective on gender equity and how progress varies across cultures.

These experiences have strengthened my commitment to creating inclusive environments where everyone regardless of gender or background has equal opportunities to thrive.

I’ve worked in both structured and fast-moving environments, so I understand how leadership and workplace culture shape opportunities. By encouraging open conversations, pushing for data-driven policies that promote inclusivity, and leading by example, I hope to help build a work environment where talent is recognised for its value, not its gender.

What steps can organisations take to support young professionals in advancing gender equity?

Organisations need to create environments where equity isn’t just an initiative – it’s embedded in their culture.

This starts with transparency in hiring and promotions, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to everyone and that pay equity is a given.

Mentorship and sponsorship programmes can make a huge difference, especially when young professionals have strong role models and advocates. Work-life balance also plays a role, and flexible policies can help ensure that talented individuals don’t have to choose between career growth and personal responsibilities.

Most importantly, companies should encourage active allyship and hold leadership accountable for fostering inclusivity. When organisations take these steps, they don’t just support gender equity – they create stronger, more innovative teams where everyone can thrive.
