Before joining INSEAD, I was excited about the prospect of studying at one of the best business schools in the world. I threw myself into preparing for it: connecting with future classmates, travelling, taking on projects and completing an internship. By the time I arrived, I felt ready to make the most of everything the MBA had to offer.

So here's a fun sentence to say out loud: this summer I joined a scam-fighting nonprofit, and my entire job was to figure out how to make it money. CheckMate is a Trust & Safety AI startup that uses AI to protect people across Southeast Asia from scams and misinformation, and I came on this summer as their Product & Strategy Fellow.

For my INSEAD summer, I chose to spend time working with TenX Nutrition, an early-stage food business in Kenya focused on making everyday foods more nutritious and accessible.

During my summer internship, I supported the product strategy of Sustainability Compass, a decision intelligence platform built around a comprehensive sustainability framework. I assessed the product’s outputs, identified gaps and opportunities to strengthen its value proposition, and built dashboard views that translated the analysis into practical decision support for companies, investors, and customers.

During the summer break of my MBA at INSEAD, I joined the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome as a Finance Fellow in its Innovative Finance Unit. After several years in investment management, I wanted to understand how finance could support humanitarian work.

It's early morning in Old Delhi, and I'm watching a line of homeless residents wait patiently for a standing chest X-ray, one after another. At the same time, a health worker carefully records each person's contact information into an archive so they can be found again if something comes up. No fuss, no resistance, just people quietly showing up for themselves. I remember thinking: this is what “access” actually looks like. Not a supply chain diagram. Not a slide.
