I wanted to position myself for an international role, develop leadership skills, build a diverse network of alumni, and better understand and explore my strengths and weaknesses.
I believe an important reason for the inspiring learning environment is not only the careful selection of students but also the professors’ ability to create an inclusive and informal classroom atmosphere where all students feel like participating.
INSEAD is uniquely skilled at selecting people, whether student or faculty.
INSEAD operates on a “psychological safety” principle, and everyone is encouraged to curiously and respectfully inquire and connect. Of the top schools, the campus is unequivocally the most diverse. Make use of that diversity of ethnicity, nationality, and thought.
INSEAD is continually seeking ways to drive innovation in teaching methods and embrace cutting-edge approaches to virtual, hybrid and in-classroom course delivery. Many INSEAD students have documented their positive experiences of these approaches in a range of testimonials. But what is it that makes INSEAD’s classrooms – whether virtual or in-person – so engaging?
To help students better prepare for an intensive MBA journey ahead, the INSEAD programme team will be connecting with you to kickstart your MBA experience even before you step foot on campus.
In Period 5, the last module of the programme, you get to choose eight electives from a range of courses. All courses are designed with a focus on innovation, so you graduate with knowledge and skills that allow you to jump right into action the moment you start work.
P4 takes place in Singapore, a vibrant city state and international business hub in the heart of South East Asia. Academically, there is a heavy emphasis on Strategy, as you will tackle this topic both in the core courses as well as the Practicals, while further refining your teamwork and negotiation skills.
As a former Chinese business journalist, I’m pleasantly surprised by how realistic the INSEAD Capstone simulation captured the subtle culture of the Chinese business world. This intensive three-day project has taken me on a reflective journey, putting my former on-the-ground observations into context and deriving new inspirations on where Chinese culture meets the global scene.
