Hi World!!! This is my first opportunity as a blogger and I must say I am rather curious about the route this is going to take. I basically started this as I feel INSEAD is such a great experience that I want to try to express it in a different way than I am used to, also embracing my new life of challenges and new experiences.
What are the classes going to be like? What kind of experience will it be to meet and make friends with people from so many different countries all over the world? Am I going to stay on top of everything? Questions like these are running through my head as the fact that INSEAD is only a couple of days away is sinking in. As that’s going on, I’d like to use this post to introduce myself and what led me to forgo my comfy life in the UK and to turn up instead in a small French town surrounded by forest from almost all sides.
Some experiences are life-changing. At times, such experiences can be nothing more than a mere interaction; and even more so, a mere conversation. Walking down my memory lane, I can root my decision of coming to INSEAD to one such conversation. It was June ’14 when I was a bit disappointed with not having been able to see a clear path for my career trajectory leading to general management after having worked with P&G for about six years.
15 days and counting… I will officially start my MBA journey as INSEAD MBA'17D candidate very soon! Time literally flew by since I received one of the most pleasant calls from the INSEAD admissions officer notifying me that I was admitted to the program, almost 3 months ago.
In short, yes. Long answer, definitely. There are three foundations that the doing BFP lays for you: academic, social, and omgwhatisgoingon. These three foundations won’t make or break INSEAD by any means. But it’s a fun week that is an academic kick in the butt, gives you a bunch of friends, and let’s you start to figure out what’s what.
